In Australia currently we are the only AABMGS Stud to own Purebred coloured babydolls
Since the Australian government has ruled we are not permitted to import live sheep, semen or embryos from overseas, the only way breeders can introduce colour into their flocks is by the use of quality breeding-up programs. That is, by crossing purebred Babydoll sires with coloured ewes of any breed and continuing to increase the percentage of Babydoll bloodlines whilst still including a coloured fleece in the resulting offspring.
We are very passionate about developing the coloured Babydoll in Australia, focusing on producing a sheep that embodies the look and type of a purebred Babydoll, retaining its superb meat qualities, temperament and small size, yet with the added
splash of colour.

Combining all the assets of the purebred Babydoll, by selecting stock that closely resembles the Babydoll breed standard, has allowed us to produce rams close in size and conformation to what we would expect of a purebred Babydoll ram. These rams have gone on to win interbreeds, proving the superior quality of a Tanjar Babydoll.
