Tanjar Gronk has proven himself an exceptional young sire, with his first lambs of 2025 already showing outstanding quality, consistency, and strength of type. As an ASSBA‑registered Off‑White ram, Gronk carries the depth of pedigree and correctness we value within the TANJAR breeding program. His structure, presence, and balance were recognised in the ring when he was awarded Champion Ram under the Babydoll section at the 2025 Brunswick Show, competing successfully against strong entries. Gronk’s first drop of lambs reflects everything we hoped for — beautiful heads, solid frames, and the unmistakable Babydoll expression we breed for. We look forward to watching his influence continue to shape our flock in the seasons ahead.

We are pleased to introduce our newest arrival, Sugar Gum Bilbo, who has travelled from Victoria to join the TANJAR Babydoll Southdown flock here in Western Australia. Bilbo is an ASSBA‑registered Off‑White ram, bred by Sue Curliss of Sugar Gum Farm, and represents the careful, considered genetics we select for our breeding program. His structure, temperament, and pedigree align beautifully with the qualities we prioritise within our stud. We look forward to welcoming his first Western Australian offspring and seeing the contribution he makes to the continued development of our Babydoll flock.

Gaucher Disease & Cold Tolerance Testing Selected rams within our breeding program were tested for Gaucher disease and the cold tolerance gene marker through the Gene-Marker Laboratory. Results at that time indicated: • Gaucher disease: Negative • Cold tolerance marker: AA (low risk classification) These results were used to guide breeding decisions within the stud. The Lab is currently Backlogged so testing will again begin for 2026 at a later date Please note that individual animals currently offered for sale may not have been directly tested, and no guarantee is provided regarding genetic status unless specifically stated at the time of sale. At this time, we test rams only .
